My forts Manzanillo arrived today thanks to Julián's speedy service.
Here is the Fort as supplied in the clifftop position it will occupy,
and here with a bit of work on the base trimmed off, and undercoated ready to paint.

I undercoated mine in black. Apparently we have different painting techniques. I use white for 28 mm miniatures but black for terrain and smaller scales.
I used to undercoat in Black until my eyesight deteriorated about ten years ago. I then found that I could not pick out details anymore, so reverted to white undercoating Jonas. the only downside is that you have to do shading. The upside is that colours such as yellow and red keep their brightness.

That is understandable.
I usually paint white before covering it in yellow or red. The new poison free paints have less effective pigment.
That's good news Jonas. I won't feel so bad about licking the end of mt brush to get a better point on it now then.

I never did. I only dip the brush in the tea instead of the water cup.
It's not just me that does that then! I can't count the number of times I've drunk paint water instead of coffee.
I always undercoat in white, I think it keep colours truer. Then again, I always use Humbrol enamels rather than acrylics - which I never got the hang of using!!!
I have dipped my brush in a bowl of breakfast cerial once. Thankfully never my G&T.

That would clean the brush even when using Humbrol Enamels.

When I see pieces like this it always reminds me of my 25mm Ticondaroga. It took months to complete, and has been fought over only twice in eight years.
May your work of art get more attention than that.
