    Default Supporting app?

Is anyone aware of any supporting apps for SoG? Perhaps an app to plan out your point fleets? And to keep track when playing campaigns (with captains etc.)?

The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

Ah. Thanks for that, I'm well aware of it. I was more thinking of an actual app that would let you set up ship lists, doing the math for you and making everything simple. I have for now made my own spreadsheet solution that works, but I was wondering if something existed out there.

I hear there was a mobile app for solitary play some time back. Dors anyone know anything about that, and if there are plans to update or relaunch it?

I'm not much of an electronic gameplay sort of guy, but do see the value in soloplay. I'm a fan of moving the ships physically on a tabletop, but can't always lure friends over to play when convenient for me. To that end, I took what I
learned from the folks at the Anchorage and created a set of soloplay rules that I'm pretty satisfied with.

If that might appeal to you, here's a link to my rules:

If you have any questions, just ask. A word of warning, my soloplay has a reputation for being bloodthirsty.

I've long thought an "e-Ship Log" app would be ideal for managing Chit Clutter. Nothing fancy, just replicates the paper log on your screen and you input your damage chits etc as you would changes on the physical log. Maybe a feature where when you hit the "End Game" button you can save that session's event history as a video replay.

Sounds interesting! Can this be found anywhere?

That is why I developed the wipe off ship logs DB. Speeds up play at cons no end and does away with having to clear up chips at the end.

I'm not a coder, and nobody ever did anything when I floated the idea back when the game was new. :(
