    Default Islands, Ports, and Forts

Now that SoG is on the horizon, many of us will begin thinking about the use of islands and shore components for our upcoming games. Recently, someone requested a link for Langton islands that resulted in some nice pictures (http://sailsofglory.org/showthread.p...angton-Islands). To those of you that build models of islands, ports, forts, etc., would you mind creating albums or posting links of your work so the mortals among us can envision potential projects? I have seen a few pictures from some of you folks that already has the gears turning. This would be helpful, as well, for thinking about potential shore scenarios. Thanks.

Nice, Vol! Patterned after any specific island fortress, or just a "that looks historically plausible"?

Well, the fort is the Toulon Tower from Langton which was actually on a land spur. The island and fort together is "historically plausible".

Nice picture; for the first time, I will take some Forts out of my "Pirates of the Spanish Main" collection, the plastic cards.
And I will add some specialists from this game (captain, helmsman, gunner etc); they can upgrade the property of a ship.

A simple build would be a Martello tower:

Mostly built by the English, and on the south England coast and ireland, they were built and copied elsewhere.

Great idea. This looks feasible even for the less-than-gifted modelers like myself.

    Nice link.

    Thanks.

Great idea; very versatile. This looks feasible even for the less-than-gifted modelers like myself.

    Nice link.

    Thanks.
