    Book Title:
    The Corsairs of France
    Author:
    Norman, Charles Boswell
    ISBN:
    ADP-5193
    Category:
    History
    Format:
    Paperback
    Summary:
(Note: There should be an e-book category for Format.)

This book was written in 1887 and is a free download on Googlebooks. I downloaded it with my Nook App.

The book is a compilation of the exploits of several famous French Corsairs or Privateers, like Jean Bart, Jacques Cassard, Duguay Trouin, Francois Thurot, and Robert Surcouf. The author relates the successful careers of these daring men. He covers taking prizes from the Dutch, Danish, Swedes, Russians, and British during the 16th century through the Napoleonic wars. It was a very enjoyable read. And you can't beat the price.

Thank you for the review. It will be interesting reading a naval history book written in the 19th century.

That is the book alright Eric. Though I downloaded mine through my Nook App from Barnes & Noble. Like I said, it was free so you can't beat the price. A friend in Brazil recommended it to me.
