Ares came out with the Bonhomme Richard, but no Serapis. Has anyone com up with conjectural stats for a Roebuck 44? I thought the Portland mini would be an adequate stand-in model-wise.

If someone could post stats for the Bonhomme Richard or any of the East Indiamen too, I discovered that I don't have those either.

My BHR is on the other side of the county in Storage, but I'd say a Roebuck should be pretty comparable to that, only about a slight advantage. Serapis BARELY survived Flamborough Head, IIRC.

That was a fun read, Dave, but the information I am looking for ws obscured by damage on the Bonhomme Richard and Isis is a Portland, so the next size up. Still, thanks for hunting!
I hope this is readable. There's a bit of glare from the overhead light though. Let me know if there's something you can't make out. I've done photos of both options for each of the ex-merchant ships. (P.S. glad you likes the read. I can't wait for the 'move' so I can get back to some SoG AAR.)

Figure no stronger than Undated Speculative BHR as your ceiling. I wanna say we figured she'd be packing small guns but a LOT of them, maybe equivalent of a double-banked 18-pdr 44 frigate. Just slower and less maneuverable.

I read your adventure to Suzanne and she loved it. She say she feels hunted when she plays against my AI.

By the way, you can tell Suzanne I found a way to counter the Dobbs-AI, I get the Dobbs-AI to play both sides of the fight.....and that was an early version of Dobbs-AI.
I have much the same challenge with the flash-AI for WoG, but if you get enough ace skills you can eventually get the upper hand....provided the other side doesn't have twice as many machineguns per plane.
During moments of navigational frustration on the tabletop, I have thought about using my AI instead of my skills to engage other folks. Ahh, the powers of probability.
Serapsis appears to have been re-gunned from her 'as designed' establishment of 20 x 18pdr, 22 x 9pdr, 2 x 6pdr to 20 x 18pdr, 22 x 12 pdr, 2 x 6pdr and was in service during the first period of carronade establishment (July 1779) where the 44 gun ship was authorised 10x 18pdr carronades for the castles - though I've not seen any suggestion that Serapsis had received carronades before the action in September.
