Be sure to request “permission to board” from the Officer of the Deck.

No need to worry Midshipman, Flash joins us with a recommendation from the second highest authority at the Admiralty, and also the Prince Regent himself.
He was exempted at the Court Martial from any complicity in the loss of his last vessel

Wm. Bligh. Secretary to the Navy Board.
The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

All good news, sir. Somehow, through some arcane arts, someone captured that magical moment....

Yo there landsman Flash - welcome aboard

Nice to be here again and to see so many new names aboard, now that we are sinking
So it'll be all hands on deck to make the next vessel ship shape and Bristol fashion methinks.

Captain Duff and I would not need to wait for a storem to take port. Anywhere in the Empire where the Sun was over the yardarm would do.

Welcome aboard Flash. Seems a lot of us rats were forced to flee a sinking ship. Down in Eastbourne I spied a dwelling where I suspect one of our members here might dwell but the tide was low and I could not cross the bars to pay a visit.

Luckily I did find shelter from the storm at an Inn nearby.

I was born in Eastbourne, as were the rest of my family, including my kids.
The Ship is very nice, or, was when I was last there many years ago, as is The Pilot Inn a little further up the road.

That's odd Mike, as they were showing for me, maybe something your end ?
First pic is a front door in Meads St sporting a leaded fan light of three ships under full sail; second is of the Ship Inn just up the road.
