    Default Doncaster AARs.

    AArs here please.
The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

Nice work Mike. One of these fine days I'm going to actually participate in a "Sails" mission at Doncaster. Next year perhaps

Welcome to you Andrea was a pleasure meeting you at Doncaster this year.
Mike et al, my intention for next year is to do Trafalgar again as it will be the 220 anniversary.
This time I will print off the ships not released , which of course means my fleets will increase mwahhha

Very amusing Steve, but I have already started work on this. It is incredible how small Cape Trafalgar looks from 20 miles away. I should be able to get it finished by next August.

Sadly I did not get to engage in any of the Sails. While Taranto's 1st wave was in action I took a few photos of Chris running his Battle of Algeciras game.

Chris watches on while Simon sails into troubled waters.

A great looking game with beautifully rigged ships.

I miss Algesiras to drop a torpedo that hit the Giant Littorio but misfires ... damn! ... next time none will stop me to play the Sails scenario!

For next year I'm thinking about a rethemed based on Quidditch ... I do not know if in Doncaster you never had a similar scenario, let me know. Eventually I'm interested in the rules applied.
