    Default Donland books

I bought a new Kindle a couple of weeks ago. I am not so good with tech and whilst setting it up I was surprised that I had accidentally joined Kindle unlimited (3 months free membership included). You do not need a Kindle to join, if you have a tablet or another device you can download the Kindle app to it should work for you. Anyway, one of the free authors is Dr. Perry Comer and he has a series of 16 books called the Donland series. Set around 1776 it follows the life of an American born Royal Navy officer. Lots of swash buckling tales in there and for me a most enjoyable read. I have read 10 of them in 2 weeks and I think most people here would enjoy those books.

    Yes Gary.
I enjoyed reading them myself. They give a slightly different slant on the Navy from Donland's perceptions as an American.

The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.
