I may well revisit that series myself Eric. I first read those about 50 years ago, and have forgotton most of the plot lines, so with my extra knowledge gleaned over many years I will see how they stand up to time.

Have to give it a try though, especially as it's only £2.99 on Kindle . I really enjoyed the originals by George McDonald Frasier, and I still have the complete set. Dudley Pope's Lord Ramage was another really good series, I agree. But those have long since found a new home. Should I buy them again Where's my ladyship right now,
