    Question Storage of ships

How do you guys store your ships? I am currently uaing the original boxes, as they can hold the ships with bases, navigation decks and ship dashboards.

However, I realise that if I am to glue pennants onto the ships, that won’t do. Are there anyone selling foam trays that fit with SoG?

I try to rig or partial rig my ships so they do not fit the original box any more.
I house most of my ships in KR cases, this does mean though my ships are housed seperately to my bases and cards but I use a numbering system to identify cards and bases.
The KR foam section that fit into the cases were specifically made to fit the ships from sloop to first rate laid flat. For me they work perfectly and I have never had a breakge despite the odd dropping of a case.
Here on site I did a review of the KR cases

My small ones are stored in "knockdown" in these.
    https://www.amazon.com/IRIS-USA-Inc-.../dp/B084BQP14M

Ones that don't fit in those (most two-deckers) are "combat ready" on bases in these:

Or in knockdown in 16-count 0.3-liter Really Useful Box Organizer Packs.

First Rates and Special Packs are in knockdown in 0.7-liter Really Useful Boxes, two per.

I have a number of First and Second Wave ships that I have equipped with pennants on their mainmasts, and they still fit the original boxes. My pennants stick about 3mm above the masts.

The KR cases looks great! But they are quite expensive, if you have a few ships?

That is why I keep mine mainly in their boxes. What few KR cases i have are the cardboard ones and I only use these for transporting ships to shows.

The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.
