    Default A question from Hammerhead.

On Saturday a question arose which I have never been asked before. As we know the range for grape is very short. If you are double shotted with grape over ball and only at short range where the grape is ineffective if fired, would the ball reach the enemy ship just as if it were double shotted ball?

I ruled a yes, as grape would hardly interfere with the flight of the ball.
    Any comments to offer shipmates?

The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

Dont know any technical reasons but I would say it would, but due to being behind the grape sack, I believe it was loaded with ball then grape as per land battles, maybe it would be A damage instead of B.
Though I suppose technically you cant double shot with grape according to the rule book.
But I like the idea and it was used so I will use in my games

I would agree on the A damage Chris. That is the way I scored it.
