    Looks as if there still is a place in the forseeable future for the humble matelot Bill.
    You can approve that new three decker design then, and get her on the stocks.

    Ships don't paint themselves, and out at sea the painting NEVER stops. Starting at the bow, just about the time you hit the stern wave action has worn away the paint on the bow so it's time to start all over again... less crew means less hands for damage control and less pinch-hitters for WHEN you DO take casualties.
