    Default Hoisting the Yellow Jack.

I am afraid that I have had to order the yellow jack to be flown over my flagship today. I took a lateral flow Covid test this morning and the result was positive.

Sorry to hear that! Hope you don’t get very sick and that you will get better quickly.

I’ve been sick through Christmas and New Years but is getting better now. I was negative in the test.

Do take care of yourself dear chap and I hope you get over it soon.

I hope it is the Omicron strain and not so severe. Get well soon.

Thank you all for your good wishes. I seem to have got off lightly so far. The symptoms have been no worse than a heavy cold. Being triple vaccinated seems seems to have helped.

Glad to hear you are going well. I am thinking we might have caught it when we went for our third jab. Not sure but we do have some symptoms. We have booked a test for tomorrow, we had to wait 5 days to get one due to health staff shortages. Now today we are being told that the supermarkets will have gaps on their shelves due to more and more processing and delivery staff going into isolation. The good news is that we are getting plenty of time to play our games.

This mirrors what happened to me. In addition to the cold symptoms we had headaches and fatigue which did eat into playing and painting time!! My son who had the third jab scheduled when he got it faired the worst. Well I should add that several different branches of the family got it and my sister in law who refuses to be vaccinated actually had the worst case. She was unable to get out of bed and did have breathing problems. She did however take unapproved meds from dubious physicians she got through the post. Fortunately for her it was Omicron and not Delta.

Spent the holidays indoors. Just got clearance to return to the office. Best wishes for your recovery.

I have had two negative tests on consecutive days (days 8 & 9), so I can now leave isolation. I am hauling down the yelloe jack but I still have a cold.
