    Default 10 Years today.

I am instructed by the First Sea Lord Hajj on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the opening of the Anchorage to dress the Fleet Overall, and to Splice the Main brace on all of His Majesty’s vessels at present in ports around the globe in honour of this auspicious day.

    God save King George.

Wm Bligh. Secretary to the Navy Board.
The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

Other shipmates may be interested to know that the First Sea Lord has also instructed that a second medal be struck to be awarded as a service medal for those who complete ten years servic in the future. This medal may be applied for in the usual way by using the usual process.
