Default For those who love to drink.

From P&O this morning ..... Premium Drinks Package is back on cruises of 7 nights or more. What that means is Your Premium Drinks Package includes unlimited soft drinks and bottled water; a maximum of 15 alcoholic beverages per day including beer, wine, cider, cocktails and spirits up to and equal to $13 each drink.

Now if we book the also advertised today cruise of 31 nights from Sydney to Vancouver in March 23 and drink 15 alcoholic drinks per day .... would we end up alcoholics?

15 glasses of wine a day is about 3 bottles. Do they lose many passengers overboard. I can't imagine many can be any too steady on their legs.

Everyone knows that the daily ration is a gallon of beer or half a pint of rum.

    Anything else is just madness.

We were on an Azamara ship once and made friends with a Belgian Chef who had bought a drinks package. He recorded every drink he had to check if it was value for money but we could not read his notebook after lunch. A nice guy but he had a problem.

My days of being able to put away 8 pints of beer a day are long gone Jonas. These days it's usually a G&t before bedtime.

The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

Indeed, there may be more than an ounce of truth in that Jonas.
