    Magnificent Vol, but they do look tall. Maybe I'm just used to seeing the Ares ones full of sails, or the angle the shot is taken at. Mind you I always thought the Ares bowsprit looked a bit stunted compared with other makes, even the 1200 ones.

    Thank you Vol for the glue recommendation , I will try to find it there
    Today I was making some tokens for the game , launch chips from here . And I was thinking about landing marines .
    So I Created some tokens for the main nations in game : Americans, English , French and Spanish

    Not 3D models ( yet…) but it will work

    I do like your chits for the Marines Ferrante. I did some chits for Doncaster game several years ago but they were not in colour and not a patch on yours. it would be nice to be able to copy them if you are willing to post a full size picture here on the Anchorage.

    Still missing a mizzenmast and a full set for a 1st rate.

    In covid times I haven't had any opportunity to dress up, but yesterday i did. I was a bit surprised that it still fit.

    The comment is a reference to this:

    And I wouldn't mind being a farmer. My father grew up on a farm that I loved to visit as a child.

    The Spanish fleet will have another three ships and then it's probably as big as it'll get. Bahama, Rayo and Santissima Trinidad.

    Any chance of getting a copy of those chits also please?
    I do have Simons ships boats and they look good so well worth if you can get.
    Jonas , yes the wire Simon recommends is for his 1/700 I believe, but they work just as well with the 1/1000 models I have used, so it may mean doing the new sails slightly bigger but only slightly.

    Nice work Ferrante, I especially like the boats. Simon's boats are nice too. I haven't printed the manned boats yet but I have done the unmanned ships boats. This is what they look like.

    Rob, a better fit for 1/1000 scale masts would be the K&S Engineering Metal Shapes music wire
    I get them at my local Hobby Lobby, but Amazon has them as well.
    .047 is about right for the lower masts, .039 for the top masts, and .032 for the T'gallant masts.
    For spars .025 or smaller works well.

    This problem I'm getting with the picture producing an attatched image is throwing up all sorts of problems. it appears that if I make a post and errase the first picture, and then post another within an hour or so it does so without the Attatchment coming up, but then the original sometime later vanishes leaving a blank until i go to manage attatchments and download another picture of the object.
    Really annoying and time consuming.

    Well... in a way, yes. It's an old nobleman's name and a ship was named after them.

    I had some memories of her being there too.

    Thetis, commanded by Lt. Colonel (Överstelöjtnant) Carl Gustav Tornqvist, was sent first to the Mediterranean sea and then Fröja, Camilla and Sprengporten was sent commanded by Rear admiral (Konteramiral) Olof Rudolf Cederström.

    I must look for a model of that ship then Jonas. I would not like to miss out on any action.
    The only name anything like Sprängtporten that I could remember was that chap who helped Finland to Independence, but it was in some history lesson about 60 years ago about Russian history so I may be totally wrong about the name. Please forgive my ignorance about your history and language.

    No, you are kind of correct. It wasn't really Finnish independence, but a nobleman of that family was a traitor to Sweden and joined the Russians. Then Finland was part of Russia until Finland just left during the revolution when Russia was in turmoil.
