    Default Hello from Arizona

I'm an experienced wargamer but just stumbled onto Sails of Glory. Anyone in the Arizona or the southwest USA?

Welcome to the Anchorage Richard. I expect a few of your fellow sailors will be along shortly to greet you as their ships dock.
Until then may you sail safe and with a fair wind and a willing foe.
    Rob.
The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

Welcome Richard, I'm in Northern California. I joined the Anchorage only a few months ago and everyone here seems very knowledgeable and helpful so if you have any questions I'm sure someone will be able to answer them.

    Welcome Aboard!

I believe Gunner dropped out with the scale change, RichardPF is missing and presumed lost, and most of the No Post Wonders can be safely assumed to have drifted away. We've had similar experiences with the once-active Cascadia Flotilla around Seattle-Portland... the glacial release pace and poor distribution smothered what momentum we were able to build in the early days.

Greetings Richard! The elves and I are still afloat here in Surprise, AZ. Been doing some time traveling into and out of WWII as of late, but truly love the tall rigging. Where about in the great AZ do you harbor?

Welcome to the Anchorage, Richard, from here 'across The Pond' in the United Kingdom. Do explore this website. There is much here to add to your enjoyment of the game and the Files section contains some very useful material.

Thanks Chris. Trying to learn to live without a governor, no one says "do you really need more tiny ships or planes." Who needs $ for food when there are so many things to buy, build and collect . . .

So, Buckeye is very close to Surprise, we will need to find a time to sail. My foot locker of ships is here somewhere . . .
