Default Any Adelaide swabbies out there?

I am thinking my usual playmates prefer the Wings of Glory games, so if anyone in my town fancies a game or two of Sails please pm me.

The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

My pleasure Gary. Just sorry it was not more informative.

    Hi Baxter!
I live in Adelaide’s southern suburbs, not affiliated with any gaming clubs, I have been wargaming with historical miniatures since the late 1970s!
Just picked up two Sails of Glory starter sets cheap for my mates and I to try out during our Monday evening gaming sessions.
We try to record most of our games on our Blog…

Good morning to you Peter and welcome to the Anchorage from here in the U.K.
I hope you get a few takers for your games. Failing that there is always a solo option which you can record here on the AAR thread.
May you always sail with a fair wind and a willing foe.

    Thanks Rob!
Luckily I game with a group of four other fools so face to face ‘sailing’ is on the cards!
    Cheers

Hi Peter, I do not always get PM messages right so I thought it best to use the forum here too. I am in the Northern suburbs and have a couple of mates that like to fly using Wings of Glory. I do have all the Sails ships so maybe I might have a game or two with them soon seeing as you have re-vitalized my interest. When I saw that you were from the Southern suburbs I assumed erroneously that you might have been from the Southern Gamers Group. I used my ships with them a few years ago. Anyway, good luck with your games and I hope you enjoy them. If you do feel like trekking out North for a game just PM me.

PS. I laughed when I saw your blog name toysoldiersforoldgits. I took my 8 year old and 11 year old grand sons away on a cruise to Vanuatu earlier this month and by the time it was over they were calling each other miserable gits as in "the last one there is a miserable git". Sometimes my wife calls me a miserable old git and they pick up on everything.

Good to know you have a few gamers in your area Peter. My chums are getting older and travel to game with me is getting more difficult by yhe year. Most of my own face to face gaming is now done at shows when we meet up there.
Enjoy your games and post us a few pictures of the action.
