Default I all, new spanish captain on deck

    Hi all

I finally decided to buy the SOG, and two days ago I played my first game.
I played by the standard rules and it hasn't let me down.
And now I just discovered that there is a site where people talk about SOG O_o

    This can only get better.

I'm already thinking about how to implement the coast of my city in a game (Gijón Spain)
I have a lot to read and learn.

Welcome to the party, David! This community, and naval history in general, could use more voices sharing knowledge on your country's naval and naval-engineering history. :)

I can tell you as one of the Research Team helping develop this game, trying to find information sources (particularly ship plans, since I'm a visual type and prefer "comparing plans" to determine what all a given sculpt can pass for) is one of the major thorns in our side trying to develop a playable Spanish fleet.

On behalf of your shipmates here at the Anchorage, I can now give you a formal welcome David.
You should find plenty to inform and interest you here. I am sure some more shipmates will be along to add theiur own greetings as soon as their ships dock or they come off watch.
Till then you may like to have a look at some ideas on coastline and harbour building.

The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.
