    Default Thanks to Old Guy.

I have a big thank you to Mike for producing me this equivalent card to the one he has done for me on our sister site. Now anyone indulging on a spot of thread Necromancy better beware. I shall play this card wereever I think that the ressurection is without any real purpose. You have been warned!

The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

It will help me to keep my sense of humour, when yet another ten year old thread raises its head from Davey Jones's locker DB.

I'm starting to consider a Gut-N-Stuff job on my old sculpt-stretching threads, or just starting them over from scratch as I try to rebuild a cleaner Excel spreadsheet. Expect some necro as I take another pass at Greenwich draughts getting caught up with their more recent uploads. :)

Can you not lock some of the old threads, Rob?

    Yes Dave.
But without reading them all I can't sat if there may be anything of use to us if they are resurrected.
For instance a new user trying to get in touch with a member in their area long defunct has often prompted that member to re establish a contact with us. I will judge what is useful and what is spurious when a member reactivates an old thread.

It would have been nice if the very old threads from before the big hacking that destroyed all old pictures that are essentially picture threads could just be deleted or otherwise marked as dead.

There are several old threads that are still relevant, but those aren't worth keeping.

If anyone can point me to them with their exact location such as.

    https://sailsofglory.org/showthread....8733#post88733 - Look at posts 7&8

I will take a look and see if I want to close them.
