Look forward to seeing them finished Jonas.
Now Doncaster is over and I don't need all my Sloops any more, one of those is destined to become a wreck too.

Aircraft! Loads of aircraft. If I have time to paint them between regimental/SK stuff, and an event in Europe.

I'm thinking of a "slapdash" paint job for the orks. Mainly with bits of red, yellow, and metallics showing through.

    Very atmospheric Jonas.
I especially like the bare spars across the masts.
How strong is the fixing there?

Rob, since they’re thin toothpicks they flex. Still I won’t test it.

I did add some sails though.

    Even better Jonas.

I always worry about durability in my models as we take them to many shows, and young players are not always as careful in the handling as one would wish for.

I do too, but the wrecks are mostly just handled by me.

If you want them to sit better you can always just tie the spars to the mast with some sewing thread and then superglue it. If they break the spar it's just more battle damage.

Ares decided that on wave 3 and 4 the wind should come from starboard at the stem and from larboard (port) at the stern. That combined with the masts getting the wind from aft makes me almost wish they had put the flag waving backwards.

I don't know how they can have made such a stupid mistake as they did it right on the first two waves of ships.

Sadly, the mold is pretty bad, likely because of the size, so there's not much I can do.

    You may remember this:

"And pray, what in sea-language is meant by a ship?"
"She must have three square rigged masts, sir", they told him kindly, "...and a bowsprit ...and the masts must be in three, lower, top and top-gallant, for we never call a polarka a ship."
    "Don't you though?" said Stephen.
"Oh no sir!" they cried earnestly, "nor a cat, nor a xebec, for although you may think xebecs have a bowsprit, it is really only a sort of wooden boomkin."
"I shall take particulate notice of that." said Stephen.

I do remember it Jonas, and read it not long ago either but several Naval story books on I don't remember which of our heroes it was? I will now have to look at my Kindle and see which one is Stephen.

Finished a frigate. I have loose flags that can be switched out so they’re not included in the picture.

    Very fine she looks Jonas.
Do you intend to give her Ratlines?

Thanks. I won’t. If there’d been ratlines from the Anchorage store I’d use them.

    I finished another frigate...

A beautiful color scheme! Love every excuse to use red on the ships. Has she got a name yet?

Now you have got me feeling bad about the three Sloops I still have on the stocks, two of which are for modifying.
