    Default "The History of the Royal Indian Marine" (1929 article)

    I ran across this old article on the history of what became the Bombay Marine and eventually today's Indian and Pakistani navies. You do need to create a free account to read it, but there's so much amazing stuff on JSTOR, it's definitely worth it.

    The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.
