    Default D DAY.

Today us remember all those sailors, soldiers and airmen who gave their all on this day 75 years ago.

The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

Let us salute and remember all those who took part in the landings or who assisted behind the scenes. May those for whom this day brings painful memories find comfort.

Ask any veteran that they'll tell you that the heroes are still there above Omaha underneath white crosses. Of course we also remember the few remaining who came through that day 75 years ago.
