Default Tim Honier and Monse first battle

Discovery of the Sails of Glory rules and first match against my friend Tim Honier (Antsaintex on the WOG Aerodrome).
Standard rules for this first game, use of the battle sails for the maneuvers.

Tim Honier commands the English ships HMS Terpsichore (32 guns) and HMS Defence (74 guns).
Monse commands the French ships Courageuse (34 guns) and Généreux (74 guns).

    1. and 2. Face-off begins. The French attempt to encircle the English fleet. General cannonade.

    3. and 4. One maneuver follows another, but damage accumulates on both sides.

    5. Caught in the crossfire, the French ship of the line and the small English frigate succumb.
    6. Driven off by the English ship of the line, the French frigate breaks off and takes refuge heavily damaged in its harbor.

    Conclusion :
Advantage to the English, who remain masters of the waves.

    Hello.
Discovering this game with Monse Haillon. What a pleasant surprise! This game is full of ingenious rules to learn and apply. Can't wait to play again using the standard rules. I'm not the "Grand Timonier" - the French expression for MAO - but I'm getting by. See you soon.

A warm welcome on your first post here on the Anchorage Tim.
Glad you enjoyed your game with Simon.
Here's to the reportage of many more actions in the future.

The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

A good opening engagement Monse and I like your icon picture, it's very striking.
Welcome to both you and Tim.
