    Default Greetings and Salutations

Well, I'm not exactly sure how to start this off other than the bare bones "Hello", but I suppose my first post should be something along those lines.

    Hello,

I'm David and I just got into the hobby. I received the starter set for my birthday and played my first game with a friend of mine yesterday. I am from central Pennsylvania and while my fleet is somewhat small at the moment, consisting of little more than two frigates, two ships of the line, a sloop and the USS Constitution, I do plan on expanding my flotilla to the point where I can have multiple friends commanding a ship or two per game.

    Signed,
    The inexplicably ExpendableCpt

Allow me to be the first to welcome you officially to the Anchorage David.
have a good luck round, stow your gear, and then feel free to join us in the Wardroom for a few virtual drinks and a chew of the fat.
For learning the ins and out of this game you could not have chosen a better port of call.
Ask any questions you like and someone will be able to give you an answer or point you in the right direction.
i am sure many more messmates will be along to greet you as soon as they come off watch.

May you always sail with a fair wind and a willing enemy.
    Rob.
The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.
