Thank you for the information Chris.
Do you want me to run a game again?

The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

    Hi Eric.
They just make it easier to follow the action, and the punters can spot their own ship easier as well.

Using Chris's Squadron this time, the ships waste no time getting into action as the first two pass each other firing Grape over Ball at short range and missing.

An unexpected victory for the French.
I would like to thank Capt Kiwi for taking most of the photos for this game, as I was heavily engaged in commanding the French Fleet and trying to get the Flagship upwind for most of the action.

In answer to the question about the mat. It is Chris's donated to him by the proprietor of one of the stands at his last show. I am sure he would be pleased to give you information about this if you ask him Eric.

The sea mat in the pics was donated to us from http://www.tinywargames.co.uk

They make cloth and rubber backed mats size range from 3’ by 3’ to 8’ by 6’ and they can make custom sizes if required.
