On these, I did a wash on the sails and painted the yards and masts. On one I also did a repaint on the side of the hull. One of these days I'll order the ratlines from the Store here and add them to my ships.

Painting the spars as you did greatly improves the looks of the ships.

Thankee! I agree! I was looking at all of my ships one day, and then I saw a post on the SOG facebook page where a gent did a wash on his sails. I did some online research and then came across someone's WIP on a 1000th scale Miniature with the Yards and masts painted. Then it hit me like a tonne of stones. None of the Yards are painted on any of the SoG ships.Originally Posted by TexaS
