The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

Just noticed that Todd aka Pseudotheist slipped through the net and made Midshipman in March, whilst we were all looking at other things of great moment I guess. So a belated congratulations to him.

I would also like to congratulate Sven, Comte de Brueys, who on this day became only the 10th officer to attain the rank of captain at the Anchorage. As three of those Captains have attained the rank of Admiral, that places him as seventh in the captain's list.
    Very well done Captain.

The men may now splice the mainbrace.
