    Default Storms as sea?

Not sure if I posted this here or not, kind of interesting for those exotic events . . . . I am having my tech elves give a go at simplifying it . . .

Very impressive Dave. I am sure there are loads of applications for that system.
Gunfire flashes, to name but a few.
I think our Pirate Brethren may well take to that.
Just think how it could enhance the atmosphere for the Flying Dutchman!
Then there are our airborne colleagues to consider.

For those of us with little electronic skills this could be a good earner for Dave.

    Cool :D

often the challenge with these kinds of things is finding space to hide the electronics.
like this could make excellent flak effects for wings, but you'd either have wires on the map or
    some obnoxiously large base.

    however:
depending on how many i/o lines are used you might be able to do it with an ATTiny85:

there are many options for programming it, including using an Arduino board:
    https://create.arduino.cc/projecthub...ino-uno-afb829

    Operating Voltage
    – 1.8 - 5.5V for ATtiny25V/45V/85V
    – 2.7 - 5.5V for ATtiny25/45/85
    • Low Power Consumption
    – Active Mode:
    • 1 MHz, 1.8V: 300 ľA
    – Power-down Mode:
    • 0.1 ľA at 1.8V

i never tried this, but i wonder if it can be powered by an LED tea light:

I am just thinking about the extra elements which it can add to our scenarios.
Do you remember the thunderstorm effect in one of our Wings AAR's a couple of years back.
It can play a much more important part in a game than just a jolly good stage effect.
