    This little pretty was in the harbor today in Galveston. It's a three masted clipper built in 2000. It was exciting seeing a bully rigged ship!

    Very pretty.
    Reminds me of two years ago when we saw Hermione in Yorktown.

    Can you imagine 150 years ago when they would have been a common sight in every dock around the world? Now we have bulk cargo ships :/

    Interestingly this ship is actually longer than a first rate SOL

    If only we could get back to that time and see them in all their glory.
    About ten years ago we went to see the Tall ships regatta at Great Yarmouth.
    There were about half a dozen there and even that was an impressive sight.
