Default Fantasy Spin Off Game for Sails of Glory?

There's a post on the Sails of Glory Facebook page asking folks if Ares did a spin off for Sails of Glory like they're doing with Wings of Glory and the Tripods what should it be? I'm not a FB subscriber so I cannot comment there, but I thought we could start a thread here to discuss some possibilities that might get back to Ares? They've had 14 comments already, which has to be one of the best feedback responses they've had on the FB page in some time.

Like some have already mentioned I personally would enjoy some Jules Verne. Captain Nemo, Ironclads and Sea Monsters.

What do the rest of you think?

They produced the classic "Man o War" back in the 1980s (an excellent game, I have a large stash of MoW models and I use a variant of the rules for a fast play age of sail participation game at wargame shows), and then there was the standalone "Dreadfleet" game from just a few years back.

I am not averse to pirates or sea monsters, as long as the focus remains on historical ship miniatures. I would like to see a campaign style game structure available that provides a continuity of story. Kind of like a D&D adventure for a captain and ship.

I like the sound of that a lot Dobbs, sort of like what we are doing in the campaign being run here.

David, I have to confess I had no knowledge of this book series from Naomi Novik. Having just read some coverage on various wiki pages and looked over one of the official pages (http://www.naominovik.com/temeraire/) I guess I've got some catching up to do.

I suppose by reading ahead I've spoiled of some of the events in the series, but the alternate history aspects of the book timeline is fascinating. I really have to find out how Tecumseh is President of the United States in 1812 among other things?!

I would welcome a change of focus for a spin off game myself.
Bring on the Black Pearl, Captain Nemo whatever!
