Pirates is scheduled for Friday if table space does not allow 3 tables on Saturday. With Lissa and Abukir moving to Sunday.

NP Rob, I'm filling the programme up as offers to put ongames come in. First come first served. But I have to be flexible to move games around if we can only put up 2 tables and not 3.

As an update, still no changes yet. Awaiting info on whether we can put 3 good sized tables up in the 1 room we will probably have access to.

This is our programme for Doncaster 2017.

Pirates, Abukir Bay & Lissa are all SoG games. There are open slots on friday (x5), Saturday (x1) and Sunday (x1) if people would like to put games forward they would like to run.

Please contact me by PM as this weekend is predominantly an Aerodrome weekend with sails games included. But I am sure we can accomodate games you may wish to run.

    Cheers Neil

Dammit, I'm in serious danger of spending the whole weekend pushing ships around!

I sent a PM for Lissa at Sunday at the Aerodrome.

The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

    Thanks Neil.
I would also like to be included for Pirates and sink the von der Tann if at all possible, unless it would preclude anyone else from taking part.
other than that I am happy to fill in where needed.

    Hi Andy.
Sorry about that, you can find the games here.

    http://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/sho...ter-2017-Games

it will probably be best to let Neil know on the Drome as most od the arrangements are being done there.

Confirmation of attendees (apologies that many are aerodrome names)

There are plenty of free slots, not just for Sails games and we have a number of free tables.

Pop in for an hour, a day or the weekend.

    You'll be sorry you didnt.

Abukir Bay is for max. 8 players (+ French Admiral = me)
Hey Sven, as you know Chris is intending to put on Trafalgar next year at Donny.
Any ideas what we could put on together again for one of the other slots?
That is supposing you want to takie part in another game with me after the last one.

The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

You mean for a sails game, Rob?

(...at all I can make a decision for Doncaster first somwhere in spring next year)

With Trafalgar being a distinct possibility at Donaster 2018 I would envisage it taking up all 3 Saturday slots with players staying for the full game or coming and going as they wish to embibe in another game or three.

I was under the impression that Chris was looking at doing only a part of Trafalgar in a session - doing the whole thing would need a dedicated team of many players prepared to spend the whole day doing it, so selecting some "episodes" from the battle to game out?

Looks as if any other Game would have to take up the Friday evening slot then.

The idea for Trafalgar was intended to be played in sections due to size and the number of players able to gather around. It may be feasable to set up on the Friday and start a few prelim moves although
I think setting up will take a while.
Sat morning play using the Windward column then Afternoon the Lee column, I need to think on the game play hence the thread started for Trafalgar.
I hope to get pics done this weekend for the fleets and what ships I have.
