Apart from the seedier districts Taverns, and Bordellos, there are two very fine Coaching Inns bordering on Cathedral Square, plus the Admiral Benbow on the Hard, from whence many a fine Officer has left to find fame fortune, or in some cases, an untimely demise upon the high seas.

I would like to thank you all for the kind remarks about my harbour complex.
I feel that what really makes it though is Chris's rigged ships. Tey augment the scene wonderfully. Thanks for publishing these Chris.

Absolutely fantastic. Where did you get the back ground picture?

The background picture is a composite Hugh.
The clouds were some A3 sheets printed like that on card for a local store. unfortunately they stopped doing them shortly afterwards.
The foreground is railway scenery cut along the top to the contour of the highest mountains and then glued onto the sky.

    Thanks Dave.
I have now got sea legs started on his coastline making, and he has a ready source of the dense polystyrene off-cuts.
So look out for his work shortly.

Fantastic port and highlands in the background. The natural progression of miniature wargaming is to make the battle "appear before your eyes". The visual impression of Sails of Glory is what drew me to the game in the first place. Accolades all around.

    Again thanks very much gentlemen.
Ken has hit the nail on the head.
I have been striving to produce a war-gaming type terrain without it impinging on the action unless intended to do so, and it seems much easier to achieve when your models are moving over a flat surface.
