I would like to thank you in return Chris, not only for organizing the games so well but also all the background work involved in getting us invited in the first place.

Here is a selection of pics from the three days at Games Expo 2016. There are more in the album named Expo 2016

The first Game Bligh and Captain Kiwi discuss the British plan with the first punter of the day

Meanwhile Ensign Patch passes on his knowlege with the chaps friends

    Not long later, devastation

    Second set of players

My Commerse de Marseille prepares surupticiously a double shot surprise for HMS Belleisle approaching

    More people stopping to play

The young lady here was not playing and at first showed minor interest

However she was soon asking more questions and was quite interested

Then we brought out the Pirates, thanks to Simon ( Ensign Patch)

Day 2 and this party sought us out, the young lady was Italian and the chap on the right was also Italian as well as a trained sailor, he wanted to see how the game handled.

All she wanted to do was blow him out of the water

Next another chaps with his young lady friend, he wanted something different

She wanted to blow him out of the water.... a running theme it seems

Meanwhile at the other end of the table, Warboar helped another group to play

This group wanted to try out the game

They had a whale of a time, thanks to Ensign Patch and his sound effects and encouragement for boarding parties

Thanks to all for the assistance on the table

Great to see the third day, which I missed, in such detail Chris.
Overall I think we got a better throughput than usual.

I must admit to really liking the Expo show, most of the people passing through are just gamers and not Wargamers, they seem more willing to try out something different..
A great and tiring weekend, but worth it I think

Thanks for putting on the demo. It looked amazing and finally persuaded me to take the plunge. If Bruce and I hadn't been pushed for time with another tournament we'd have definately stopped and joined in. As it is he got his starter set and I got my sloop, and we ended up playing in the open gaming section until 10 that night. I think this may be the start of a beautiful addiction.

Sad to say the sloop "Sophie" hasn't touched salt water yet. I was master of the Unite for those actions and I was very impressed by her maneuverability. I hear the local commodore's taken poccession of the HMS Sybil and has his eyes on a fourth rate in the near future, so it may well have a baptism of fire!
