I was pretty sure that Santa Ana and Principe de Asturias would be among the six ships in the Santa Ana class (Los Meregildos).
I would also guess, but not as surely, that at least Real Carlos and probably San Hermenegildo will be too.

As already stated by Jonas having the Santa Ana in the next wave was almost a certainty once we knew Ares was working with the Los Meregildos class. I'm looking forward to having the Santa Ana facing off against HMS Royal Sovereign. History may not repeat itself!

Info like this is very useful, if one wishes to avoid painting up a ship which is probably going to figure in a release later on.I will steer clear of these most likely models then.

I would recommend not painting up existing models as ships of coming releases. The model would be off.

It would be much better to do repaints within the class or sister classes.

Well, there's a *little* room for stretching.

SGN101 covers most 1770s-on French 32s, SGN102 can plausibly cover the two 1779 Annibals and maybe some of the other 1780s-era French 74s, SGN103 can represent a surprisingly broad array of British 32s, the Enterprise 28s and even some lighter 36's and a handful of 38s, SGN104 a handul each of French and British Large 74s and a half-dozen 64s, SGN105 most French 38-44-gun frigates from 1782 on and the British Leda and Lively classes, SGN106 the two Commerce de Paris 110s and SGN108 most British First and Second Rates from 1777 Duke on.

Trivial note, after Waves 3 and 4 we'll be about six sculpts away from completing the main Lines of Battle at Trafalgar. Granted, we'll need a metric buttload of reprints, but...

That is great information and what I meant with my vague "sister classes". There are several copies and some refinements that's a look alike.

There are another information from FB page:
"HMS Leopard - Portland class fourth rate, made famous by the adventures of Jack Aubrey in O'Brian's "Desolation Island" - was active in Egypt and in the Mauritius campaign, and she's a part of the next wave of Sails of Glory ships."

I'm pretty sure HMS Leander will be another name of the 50 gun ships. Also of Aubrey fame, apart from the "incidents" with the Americans that both these ships had.

Photos are nice and all, but where are the sculpts?! If all they're showing at this juncture are ship plans and paintings I'm even more skeptical that we'll see any new product for SoG before 2017. We're fast approaching the mid year mark and still no official production information either on the Ares website "Upcoming" section or here?

I'm happy to see something happening on Facebook, but practically speaking it's not really what I want to see. I know, some folks are never satisfied.

Chris, have you tried f-side games. Not a full range by any means but not bad the last time I looked. Still I agree with the sentiment that UK needs a restock of ships, and other accessories. Look forward to new Spanish range.

We have another information, something we have already seen and about which DB wrote a few posts above.

"San Juan Nepomuceno, fighting and captured by the English at Trafalgar, is one of the most famous examples of the Spanish 74-gun ships of the line. Together with her sister ships, like San Agustin, and the captured version "HMS San Juan", this ship is one of those featured in the next wave of Sails of Glory models."

I was actually very upset that as a guest I damaged any cards, and they all looked very wet at the time. No one told me to whom they belonged, and I could not find out. When I went to look for the person who collected them at the end of the afternoon, they had already gone from the radiator. Thus I am glad things are all right. Just do not let me put beer near the table ever again.

Yeah, I noticed on their website that the WGF wave was pretty recently announced.

So, if WGS was in mid-June and WGF in end-August, then maybe SGN will come in early-November?

That just has to be done Chris, and Mrs B is going to want one of those too, so I had better order two Leanders myself.
As to the Spanish, I will also have to get both incarnations of them just to get a reasonable Squadron to support the Santisima Trinidad if she ever appears!
