    Default Interesting film?

    Hi to all.
I found today something interesting: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2544766/ and just start to dowload.
Someone saw this movie, some thoughts maybe?

It's an interesting film that follows a great Dutch admiral and show how often in history great men have had trouble from politics without being politicians, or perhaps because of not being politicians. It's interesting having a non British main character in an age of sails movie.

Yes. I own it on DVD too. I think we should buy the films that interest us, especially those in narrower fields, to show that those can be profitable too.

Less sailing and more fiction (although they left out in De Ruyter where he supports slavery so it's also kind of fiction) but maybe some of you would like this Dutch movie as well: www.imdb.com/title/tt1911607/

Anyone know some more good "Age of Sail" movies?

    So far I've seen:
    De Ruyter
    Nova Zembla
    Master and Commander
In the Heart of the Sea
The Admiral Roaring Currents (soon to see this one)

Any major ones I need to see after this?

I like Hornblower series and I'm sad that there are only 8 episodes. It is definitely one of my favourites

By the way, what about famous Bounty movie?

    Thanks for the update Daan.

As it so happens, I have just finished watching the DVD boxed set, very kindly loaned to me by Sealegs.
I enjoyed them very much and would recommend watching to anyone who has not seen them.

For those of you who like the Asian theater, this also looks very interesting.

Not particularly Erin, but from the trailer it looks like it is well worth watching.
