I updated my prior ship list with Captain abilities and ship quality.

Edit: Question on the privateer campaign: I guess it's not connected in any ways to the NvN campaign, so ships can be used in both (with completely different captains/conditions/background stories)? So should we choose one single privateer ship or a real squadron with multiple captains, ships etc. (like our NvN fleet, only with a bigger focus on frigates)? What about captain abilities and ship condition?

Found the rules, I think, in the Solo 2016 sub thread
What I was after was if one needs to have all rates of ships available in the fleet or if we should restrict the scenarios.
I can easily replace for example Donegal with a 100 gun ship.
Is there a recommended feet that would be preferred if one picked, if one have several ships of many rates available?

The privateer/ pirate game will be a single ship single captain game. Again you can be a nation ship or a pirate/privateer under a letter of Marque.

Scenarios should have a generic feel to them ie they can be adapted to cater for different types and quantities of ships.
Chris individuals can use whatever level of rules, house rules and solo charts in their games. In the rule section there are links to all kinds of aids.

Rob you can play from scratch or add two abilities to two of your captains. This is not so much from time served experience but those heroic, natural captains that certain things come readily to hand.

As your only playing against yourself you may field whatever fleet you deem acceptable to yourself. I have put out guidelines for min/max of each rate of ship.
I have posted your fleet as from above. If you want the 100 gun put in in exchange for the ship mentioned I can do that for you. I need to know which 1 ship is fast, which 1 is slow, all others will be normal. I also require which 2 captains have which ability.

I've started to link players to the spreadsheet. To date I only have 2 linked.
We now have 9 players (waiting for two fleets) in the nation v Nation campaign. If Mathias joins (speissburger) that makes 10.
We also have 4 players in the Letter of Marque single ship campaign.

By the way... Post-captain isn't a promotion from captain in the British navy. It's the actual rank of captain as opposed to the position of captaining a ship. A lieutenant would be the captain of his ship but not hold the rank of post-captain.

Yep understand that Jonas. Originally I had ranks worked out for every nation but decided to keep it simple. Post Captain just differentiates the climb from Lt/Commander etc when they were still refered to as Captain. You should have seen the problems I had researching Pirate ranks. A Quartermaster in some cases had as much power as the Captain. But again I kept it simple.
If you want to have your own rank structure then do so. When anyone is promoted just tell me what rank and I'll add it in.
