Here is a Bligh's eye view of Sails from The World Championships.






Three British Liners block the narrows as the two French 74s attempt to break through.





Close up and personal. My Commodore goes aboard the British Admirals 74.





Captain Blighzon scrapes past into the open water.





Whilst my Commodore takes all the flack.





And eventually goes down gloriously.





It is now three to one but the British need to come about.





A serious tactical discussion ensues.





With many flag hoists.





None of the British notice Cyril the Squirrel making off with their supply's of Toblerone.






Meanwhile the British Squadron tries to come about in the narrows as I make off in the distance.





One 74 manages to run aground.
That makes it two to one.



My damage is not looking too bad, so I come about and try to make a run for home down the far side of the island.




Unluckily for me one 74 manages to get out of Irons and sails towards my ship.



Just before I can make the Island he gets across my stern an delivers a raking broadside, forcing me to strike.
How unlucky is that!

Not luck, but damn good seamanship. Huzzah for the British Squadron. Frenchies deserved everything they got!

My question is because the French one with the red hull is damn close at the British SoL in the middle.

They were actually aboard each other Sven.
The wind was from the South East at this time I believe, having just veered from due East.

Strange, I also cannot see any of the pics except for the last showing the ship mat.
Glad you enjoyed the scenario, although it was a three to two, one Brtish 3rd rate decided that ramming the Island was a good idea, I recall the was some discussion about native girls on the beach or some such :)
