Dials and gauges.

I am thinking about trying to make dials and gauges for ships, like X-Wing, or Armada. Maybe the gauges would work better if they were used from the side, like Armada. I know, with all the maneuvers I na ships deck, it would be very difficult and perhaps impractical to try doing something like this. I will post pictures once I get any results that I deem either promising or successful. In the meantime, does anyone have any ideas?
