Default A young sailor found and enlisted!

I am truly a blessed WoG/SoG player having a buch of players all around, but that is not all.
After a demo WoG game I held in my daughter's class recently, one of the boys (11 years old) asked: "Do you also have a game with ships, Sir, those of Napoleonic Age?"
He should not have repeat that twice. I shouted Aye, Mate! and invited him for a game of SoG to my place. Fortunately he lives in the same village as we do, so we had two sessions 1:1 with basic rules and he was over the moon:). In a frigate-frigate clash he was victorious! In a revenge game with SoLs, my British SoL's fire wiped out his crew when his Aquillon hit the shoal and became a stationary gun emplacement. Below you see the final scene and results.
Nikodem is a skilful captain, I must say. Checking attitude to the wind, maneuvering, just WoW!
    We both had a blast.

Andrzej, thanks for the photos and AAR!! Recruiting new members to the cause is most excellent.

It certainly looks like a good time was had by both sides.

Excellent AAR, and well done for getting another player for this excellent game!

The best way to recruit new sailors, Andrzej.

    Better then to pressgang them.

You report reminds me to introduce my whole game group to SoG...

Great to see you have someone to share the other string to your bow Andy.
Fair sailing to you my friend.

    Well done, my Friend.

May the number of shipmates in your area continue to grow, and may some Friday evening spousal duels take place (Sue is growing to like WGS; I think I am living with a bombardier).

:D The number IS growing in fact, for some members of my gaming group simply love SoG even better than WoG! A 8 sailors encounter is planned in my place on Saturday, so the AAR will surely follow.
Good to hear about Sue and WGS :) Bombardier - definitely important crewmember onboard!

Fantastic Andrzej! This game seems to embrace the oldies and the young ones very well. I guess we must leave the 20 and 30 somethings to their lasers!
Keep up the good work, the young are the future of this game and our world, and any game that promotes history along with fun is welcome.
