    Default Foams

I like to carry my models in foam trays. Waiting on my starter set, but I'd like to get some foam trays inbound as well. What depth foam will the ships lay on their sides in?

    Thanks

Ummm...Doc? ask me next time :)

    1.5" should do......2" might be better....Im planning on 2

(I've got the blank base cards for Gun to do his pirate thing on which gives me the size of the base which i BELIEVE is standard thru all size ships?)

The stand for all of the SoG ships is 2 inches wide. The length is problematic because some ships are longer than the 3 inch stand.

I think 1.5" would do, even if you get larger ships than the 74's in the starter set. I always think its important to allow squash space for foam trays. I think 2" depth will allow you to store the manoeuvre decks at the bottom too?

You are probably aware that Kaiser-Rushforth are now doing custom trays for SoG but just in case you didn't, you do now! Cheers Matey.

I have posted a review of some of the KR foam trays for sails in the Chippy section.
Part 2 will be posted shortly
