Well done, sir. I congratulate you on your victory. Most impressive as you used a damaged 3rd rate rather than the 1st rate.

P.S. It was a bit close run - if HMS Defence had manoeuvred a little differently and got in 1 more broadside!! (Commerce de Bordeaux only had 1 Crew & 2 Hull Boxes left when the French exited).

I have now updated Post #2 with the turn by turn detail and the scenario VP results.

Note: Jim has updated his scenario in Post #11 with a couple of clarifications I raised post game.

Eric - I'm still using my own AI Captain's names until we liaise...

...so Jim, does that mean Capitaine de corvette Cyrille Léopold Villeneuve gets some bonus VPs for his career...??

A very neat run by the Capitaine de corvette Cyrille Léopold Villeneuve John.
Makes all my posturing and planning when I ran the scenario seem a bit OTT.
Just going for it and letting the Devil take the hindmost seems to have done the trick very well.
Thanks for the smashing write up.
    Rob.
