    Default On This Day - February 6th 1806

    The Battle of San Domingo. A squadron of seven ships of the line under the command of Vic Admiral Sir John Duckworth defeats a French squadron of five ships of the line under Rear Admiral Leissegues. Three ships are captured, two wrecked. Three frigates escaped.

    Could be the basis for a nice little action Dave. It's a pity that we don't have more info on the actual rates of the SOTL.

    I'll do some digging when I get home, but IIRC the French had a 120 and the rest 74s, the British all 74s. Trouble is I rarely remember correctly :)
