    Default What's The Correct Name For Proserpine In French Service?

    Was she commissioned as Proserpine or Prosperine? The two names seem to appear interchangeably in some places talking about her service in the French Navy (before becoming HMS Amelia) but it's hard to tell if one is just a common typo or misspelling...

    Cheers Sven - although that looks to be a later vessel (launched 1808?) - not the original one from around 1780s that Sails of Glory models? I presume it's a new vessel to carry the name of the original vessel forward after the latter was captured by the Royal Navy...?
