    Default The Sea Warriors

    Book Title:
    The Sea Warriors
    Author:
    Richard Woodman
    ISBN:
    1-84119-598-7
    Category:
    History
    Format:
    Paperback
    Summary:
The author describes the activities of sea captains, their ships and crew from 1793 to 1815. Without neglecting Nelson, his emphasis is on other less famous captains, mainly the commanders of frigates and other 'cruisers'. They include Royal Navy, French and American captains. He is not able to cover each in much depth in 384 pages because there are so many but he covers each one's most famous exploits.

I found it an interesting and very readable book and would recommend it.

Richard Woodman is also the author of the Nathaniel Drinkwater series of historical naval novels.
