Mind boggling. You should post one picture here--if people see one they will have no choice but to click through for the rest of them.

how mean of you, however, to put the original on slide 14!

I notice a lot of painters like a darker wash on the sails, but these appear to be pretty white--what led you to that choice?

That is another excellent piece of modelling, Julian.

    Hi Fred,
I use a very subtle contrast of colors in the sails. I do not like the sails appear to be dirty or old. One thing is a yellowish tone and another it looks a mummy bandages Each painter gives you the tone you like.
The problem is that the image doesn't appreciate the strokes of paint in the sails.
Someone on a forum suggested that I could make the patched sail, interspersed with shades of color to give a sense of realism (...further work remains to be done )

I wouldn't call anything about either the model or the pictures a "problem" Just idle curiosity on my part. If I was a painter I'd probably prefer the "fresh from the dockyard" look too

    She's beautiful, Julián.

Great slideshow - wonderful to see her from all angles.

Beautiful model Julian, a true master with the brush. You have inspired me to have a go attempt a repaint and rigging myself.
