It is popular in the U.K.. There are going to be three NFL games played over here next year.

Too bad there couldn't be a U.K. team housed in the US for the football season.

Not in Serbia. Here we prefere football (which you guys overseas call "soccer" for some reason :) ) and basketball.

But there is Superbowl live on one of local televisions tonight. And I have a friend who is true fan of this game.

    GO SEAHAWKS!

Off the field, Wilson has Geek Cred too, so a bunch of us in that community have been pulling for him as the ultimate "Revenge Of The Nerds".

Eric, don`t forget the NFL Europe: Rhein Fire (Düsseldorf), Frankfurt Galaxy, Berlin Thunder, Hamburg, Cologne, Amsterdam, London, Barcelona.......
The fans here loved it, but it was not good enough for the NFL....they want more money! and so they stopped it.

It was a great game to day...for Seatle respect, and sorry for Manning and his team.
Now I will go to sleep.

A U.K. American Football team would not even be able to beat one of your college teams. There is some talk of one day there might be an NFL Franchise based in London.

It is amazing how one sided the Superbowl was this year.

Mattress Mac lost 7 million dollars on the game.

I'm from Seattle (metro), and although I'm out of the country at the moment (and don't really care one bit about football either), I could feel from a distance how excited everyone there was. It seemed far more intense than the other time the Seahawks made the Super Bowl, several years back. So I'm glad for once the sad-sack Seattle sports scene didn't let folks down...

Manning's game was disaster - his passes were intercepted 3 or 4 times and seems he played under great pressure (as whole his team). I'm not much of a american football fan, but I didn't expect Seatle to have such easy win.

It was not our D that lost that game for us :( They held the Seahawks to two consecutive FGs after that devastators start. But once the O kept letting them down, there was not a lot they could keep doing. I have no problem with my team losing in the big game, but it would have been nice if the team we saw all year was the team that showed up last night.

The Seahawks did a great job shutting down our short passing game, but the biggest reason we lost IMHO was our offensive line. From that first play Manning lost all confidence in them. I think it was the second quarter before he even tried to change a play at the line... the thing he does best.

Ok I'll bite, How does Wilson have Geek Cred? PC gamer? A true gamer geek like Curt Schilling? (ok epic fail but still).

Wilson's Geek Cred is in the "brainy, bookish intellectual" stripe. He's an athlete by profession, but doesn't have a "jock mentality" like most pro athletes.

I just report the plays, I don't call 'em... that's just the version I've been hearing, and my own looking into his background seems to support it so far.

Remember, John Wayne was a chess player... people can surprise you.

"Worst SB pairing in history"; "game bound to suck"; "demonstration of Why Playoff Systems Don't Work"; etc.

All I know is: It means Auto-Racing Season is around the corner (well, OK, technically it started last week with the 24 Hours of Daytona, and the glorious humiliation of the ALMS faction of the unified sports-car-racing series).

Of course, trust ...king Brian France to pick this year to decide to emulate all the worst aspects of the stick-and-ball games; damned Suits will be the doom of us all.
