    Hello, I just discovered this site over on Board Game Geek and I am happy to be here. I missed SoG when it was on KS, but I just ordered 2 starter sets and can't wait to try it out.

    About me: I am a career Naval Officer with just over 23 years of service. I started out as an enlisted submarine electronics technician on fast attacks and have been a Surface Warfare Officer (SWO) since 2000. I have been fortunate enough to serve in five ships (1 SSN, 2 FFG's, 1 DDG & 1 CG) and, as you may imagine, I am fascinated by anything and everything pertaining to the Navy. For the past few years I have been heavily invested in the Axis and Allies War at Sea series and have assembled a complete collection of ships.

    Diamondback, I am actually "wylecoyo" on the other site. Unfortunately I have not been very active there for some time, mostly after it appeared WOTC pulled the plug on WAS. As a result, I honestly am not sure about what you mean about We're Out To Conquer and the sinking out from under us.

    Either way, old shipmate, welcome--and my comment was referring to WOTC pulling the plug. They get not another dime from me ever, not even if they hire the entire original design team back and announce a restart that's going to be seen through "until the war is done". As one of the very first lines in a favorite TV show said, my position there is "We got a Burn Notice on you, you're Blacklisted."

    Sorry, I am somewhat slow on the uptake and didn't catch your reference to WOTC. Yes, I love the game but wish they would have done better by the design team and fans both.
