    I won't say done.

But it looks like you are.
Not a smart combination. Even in jest.

Andy, this sounded harsher than I meant it. Apologies. I was over sensitive.
It's just that I have this thing about anything that give guns bad press.

I think I will go with July 1st, because it's a Tuesday, so a slow day for UPS, and it's the day after my birthday, which some how just makes it right!

    Much the same here.

I'm a teetotaler. That was some empty bottle given to me as a prop. The PPSH-41 had a blank adapter and an empty drum. Notice the German tunic has a happy face party armband. It's a pink sombrero. Come on, guys. You guys need to loosen up. Have a sense of humor. I didn't think to include the shoulder parrot for a pirate reference, but I thought I did a good job of including Bandidos, Naughtzis and commies all in one.

Funny, I thought I had already apologized. One is all you'll get from me.

Yes Chris, I did notice his finger was outside of the guard.

I'll say no more on the subject.

Just a reminder that today is the last day to pick a date or change an existing one.

A one time exception, if it hits the Anchorage on the 13th, you win a sloop.(it's the cheapest and an appropriate size for a pirate)

Argggg you are a Jolly one and a fine sailing man for that. I think ye, but this pirate lass was happy to just get a guess. No need for the Prize, though I'd not say no to a prize of a sloop

Well I just wish it hurries the heck up. I have 4 British ships painted up and fully rigged and want more.
Did not get the box set, but would be happy to get one if available with 2nd wave ships.
I must confess that I have yet to play a game - which will change when i have my first game on Friday.

Well, by the end of this weekend one third of us will be out of the running on the contest. Without any news from Ares I can only surmise that the shipment is still sitting in US Customs. I want the Orient and the Victory as much as the brass ratlines, but it's pretty much wait and wonder for the time being.

If Ares taught me anything, it's that I have more patience than I thought I had.(without mangling something)

Watching these contests is a bit like watching old NASCAR races -- in the days when margins-of-victory were normally calculated in Laps rather than Seconds, and attrition rates typically covered 2/3 of the field.

Indeed so. In this case, however, lets hope Wargamer isn't going to win with his November 26th guess?!?

Actually, I was sort-of hoping to hear Bob Barker say "You have all overbid -- erase the bids, please".... >;)

Well I'm sorry to say, the Royal Hajj said that he received WAVE 2 today, the 20th.

I feel bad about no winner yet so visit the "New pick a date" thread and you will have until Thursday the 22nd to change your date for the Victory/Constitution even if your date has passed.

Given my seamanship skills, this might be the closest I will ever come to winning in this game.

With this wave, it seems like this was a bridge over troubled waters.
