Default Langton's Galley Gunboat and Large Gunboat

Hi guys, I've got a couple more gunboats completed and wanted to share pictures. This time it's Langton's galley gunboat and large gunboat. Nice models with interesting rigs. I've used brush bristles again for the rigging, and replaced the white metal masts with brass to add strength.

Lots more pictures here if you're interested: http://jwhitegallery.blogspot.com/20...e-gunboat.html

Hope you all had a great New Year,

    James

And here's a size comparison shot with GHQ's HMS Cleopatra:

Impressive modeling as usual, James. I'll definitely check out your blog for more photos. Are these ships part of your War of 1812 Great Lakes Fleet, or something else entirely?

Another nice job by you on small boats. You're getting a nice collection for those small boat actions.

Thanks very much guys. Jim, these are indeed for the Great Lakes.
I'm a long way away from being able to stage some of the major battles, but these little guys should spice things up a little meanwhile.

Agreed Jim. Looking good as always. Interesting scenarios indeed.

    Very nice, James.

I think it will be very enjoyable incorporating smaller boats into scenarios - so many interesting and unique possibilities.
